Saturday 3 January 2026 - All matches postponed due to severe weather conditions
After meeting to assess the current weather conditions across the Highland League geographical area, The Scottish Highland Football League has made the decision to cancel all matches arranged for Saturday 3 January 2026, these are:
Banks O Dee FC v Rothes FC
Inverurie Loco Works FC v Fraserburgh FC
Buckie Thistle FC v Brechin City FC
Wick Academy FC v Forres Mechanics FC
Deveronvale FC v Strathspey Thistle FC
Nairn County FC v Brora Rangers FC
Clachnacuddin FC v Keith FC
Turriff United FC v Huntly FC
Formartine United FC v Lossiemouth FC
With pitches at Inverurie, Buckie, Wick, Nairn, Turriff and Formartine all covered by large quantities of snow and with Amber Weather Warnings in place for today and tomorrow across most of the Highland League Area, as well as Transport Scotland advising that the A96, A95, A90/AWPR and the A9 having concerns regarding the amount of snow falling, the Scottish Highland Football League has made the decision to cancel all matches due to the safety of all involved (players, officials and spectators).
Games will now be played on Wednesday 4 February 2026.
